Initial Proposal
1. Identify the argument of my topic's thesis. The effects of anabolic steroids throught the process of Bodybuilding.
2. Why do I want to research this topic for my Project? I am very interested in Bodybuilding and the way muscles grow and are used. Im curious on how steroids affect the human body and how they can destory a body.
3. Why do I want to do this Project? I want to understand and fully focus my attention to the development upon steroids and how this effects Bodbuilding.
4. Who should be involved in negotiating the problem/issue? Doctors, Family Physicians, LA Fitness Fitness trainer.
5. What action should be taken to resolve this problem/issue?Talking upon the World about the effects of anabolic steroids it has on the human body.
6. Why does this topic have a significant impact on society? Many younger guys and women are interested in using body images to sculpture their bodies in the sport of Bodybuilding and how steroids will affect their bodies.
7. To which larger class(-es) of issues or events does my topic belong? or How does the topic I explore have a domino effect into other issues/areas/subjects? The sport of Bodybuilding and the Health and Drug Aministration due to the line of steroid(s) use.
8. How am I tentatively planning my Project? [Indicate six general goals and how I can achieve them.] Serving as an intern at my local gym, study the effects while attending a saturday informational class at Merck Drug Co., Interview two Bodybuilders and discuss their experiences with anabolic drugs, and Follow up on a case study by taking a poll in the county of Montgomery on who and age uses these drugs.
9. How am I tentatively planning to complete my research for my paper? [Indicate four general goals and how I can achieve them.] Creating a powerpoint to persuade my veiwers what steroids do to ones body, Writing a research paper to discuss the outcome and the final decision of how these drugs affect the body into the future, and Allow for a possible Nutrition and Fitness Doctor to come and talk with the crowd.
10. Identify the subtopic areas of research (nouns verbs and adjectives from mind map) needed to be addressed for the Project and research. Drugs, Body damage, Cost of life, Effects, body image.
11. Which are four sources which can serve as my topic overview sources? What three sources can serve as my research keystone?
12. What do I anticipate this Project involving, in terms of work, time and resources? or How is this Project a personal stretch for me? Well considering I love to bodybuild however the only real supplement (not steroid) I am taking is Creatine, mixed into my Protein Shakes (added Protein to my diet). I would like to invovle my gym and fitness trainers in this project as well.
13 .What issues/challenges can I foresee? I can foresee many challenges while completing this project. Some include getting enough information to include on my project, completing a internship project with LA fitness.
14. How can I consider negotiating the identified problems? Working with my teacher and using the library as a common source to get alot of information to/from.
